About Me

Using music to honor the resilience of marginalized communities and to promote human rights and social justice, recipient of Music of Remembrance’s (MOR) David Tokonogui Memorial Award, Rachel Jung, also strives to foster community and connection through music performance. She has performed solo with orchestras like the Seattle Symphony, Bainbridge Symphony, Bellevue Symphony, and the Eastside Symphony. As an avid chamber musician, she has also performed with chamber groups on stages like Benaroya for events like a MOR concert and Seattle Chamber Music Society’s (SCMS) Summer and Winter Festival preconcerts, as well as at Texas and Indiana for the Coltman Chamber Music Competition and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, garnering second prize at the former. Her piano trio, the Eura Trio, has appeared on broadcasts on the Classical King FM 98.1 Northwest Focus Live program and NPR’s From The Top. She has also given a 30-minute solo concert for the community as a part of SCMS’s summer outdoor event “The Music under the Stars.”
